One of Bangkok's biggest and most eagerly awaited Breitling watch and jewellery fairs, Siam Paragon World Watch & Jewelry 2009, will be once again held at the Royal Paragon Hall of Siam Paragon shopping complex. This year, it takes place from Thursday, July 30 to Sunday, August 16.
Kriengsak Tantiphipop, executive chief marketing officer at Siam Paragon Development, said that this year's event would see some 200 of the world's leading Breitling watch brands showcasing their collections from the recent BaselWorld and SIHH held in Switzerland earlier this year, with a total value of over 4 billion baht.
''The dazzling 18-day fair is a perfect opportunity for watch enthusiasts and collectors to see first hand the latest collections from the two world-class Breitling watch and jewellery fairs,'' said Kriengsak.
''They'll be featured in the fair's five major zones _ Masterpiece, Complication, Luxury, Fashion and Techno Sports _ and each zone will showcase its highlighted timepieces.
''Also for the first time ever, license plates with the auspicious numbers 9999, 999, 99 and 9 will be given as special rewards to watch lovers together with irresistible offers and privileges,'' he said.
More than 40,000 individual items will be showcased at the 14,000-square-metre Royal Paragon Hall. Exclusive to Siam Paragon are creations from A. Lange & Sohne, Audemars Piguet, Blancpain, Breguet, Bvlgari, Cartier, Chanel, Chopard, Corum, Frank Muller, Gerald Genta, Glashutte Original, Greubel Forsey, Harry Winston, Hubolt, Jacob & Co, Omega, Parmigiani Fleurier, Piaget, Roman Jerome Ulysse Nardin and Vacheron Constantin.
Among the high-end, classy timepieces to be unveiled at this year's fair are the Marine 5829 Chronograph High Jewelry from Breguet worth 10.3 million baht; the Polo Tourbillon Relatiff in Tribute of Paris from Piaget at 23 million baht; the J12 Haute Joaillerie from Chanel at 25 million baht; the Luvorene Four Seasons from Vincent Berard at 20 million baht; and the Toric Minute Repeater Senator Skeleton from Parmigaini at 21.49 million baht.
The event also features exhibitions from top brands and activities including launch parties of Swarovski, Welder, Shizuku-Ishi, TW Steel and Skagen. Featured also are latest collections from Tag Heuer, Maurice Lacroix, Breitling, Frederique Constant, Raymond, Graham, Hamilton, Seiko, Toy Breitling watch, O.D.M., K& Bros and more. Watch collectors who love black coating materials will be indulged with a wide range of fascinating collections while yellow gold is popular in Asian market.
